Someone brought blankets to help outside/indoor occupiers warm. Everything is ok, if the people take care of each other.

dear diary, it's mixed, how things have gone and how it's turned out, this day being THE END, of camping on my courthouse lawn. they split! the OCCUPY MISSOULA GA and campers had 'broke up', got a divorce! oh dear diary, how sad. "OH NO", i say. not grief! oh dear diary, there's so many types of grief! i can see that ALL, in their own ways, tried so hard! i know of so many griefs. what's more, ironically, is it's the day after MLK day!....that great day, so long ago and still so vital to humans! yet already this year oppression occurs relentlessly, right here on my lawn....class action, against a class action, for all who are observant know that the camping on the lawn had become mainly a place to help the down and out, the poor, any and all houseless and homeless individuals, gave them a place and a voice. OM GA, in general wanted something better for the homeless, some real shelter, some real voice. alas, the campers it seemed..... were doing what they could, right then, in the moment. what a confusing series of events, feelings, thoughts and direct actions. sad as it is, with all the disagreements, the arguments, the 'divorce', i'm a privileged lawn to have hosted it all. oh the stories of pain and successes to share with the surrounding trees and sidewalks! people are weird. people can talk about it, about; oppression, dismissiveness of concern toward a few, the lack in help towards safety, the lack of respect and consideration, lack of compassion, and about blatant acts against constitutional rights. on jan 4 at the public hearing 30+ people expressed it passionately, backed it up with recent and historical documentation, sited dates, names and events, laws, and expressed personal stories....and they, the only ones who can pull rank, the elected officials no less, looked aimlessly around the room, instead of into the eyes of the speakers as they spoke and waveed pages and pictures in front of their eyes, told stories of their own life experiences and fears! and.... they in turn waveed an undisclosed (to all but these elected commissioners) few pages of 'several weeks worth of public complaints' of emails or recorded and typed out phone messages. these elected 'representatives of the people of missoula county' went on to tell all that they are making decisions to best serve missoula 'citizens'. then, they without deliberation said 'aye' to passing the no camping without a permit resolution. now, today, just 13 days later, they enforce it, take down the camp at the courthouse lawn, "my lawn", and take one non-compliant man into custody. yes, they released him on misdemeanor charges, but still.....how RUDE! it's just not right! i'm convinced. well, now then, it's hibernation for me. what else can i be expected to do.....winter is in full force and i'm sleepy. i'd like to rest and let other things happen, things that naturally will, this time of year. i can hardly care at this point. but i do look forward to the next event on my lawn, the new chapter, of the never-ending story in the OCCUPY movement story, dear diary. good night. have a good rest of the winter. see you in spring, 2012. p.s. i hope other's find my diary and leave their own notes, their own impression and opinions. i do so love to read.
