in the missoulian: WOW. here's is today's 'tactic' by the city/county/police force/commissioners to paint OCCUPY as a mess! it's full of judgements and is particularly rude. we ought to all of us call gwen and the paper and shame them both! and someone, some reporter, really needs to write articles that balance the scales. where are the responsible reporters these days?

Yes, he really went out in public dressed like that.
Missoula police want to talk to a man dressed in pajama-type pants and an Elmer Fudd-style hat who was seen hanging around a police car that briefly vanished Friday night while a police officer was in a bar checking out a report of a possible fight.
The officer left the patrol car on the 200 block of Ryman Street, and apparently thought he had locked it with the automatic lock on his key fob, Police Sgt. Jim Klawitter said at the time. The car turned up, unharmed, a few minutes later at the Elks Lodge at Front and Pattee streets.
On Tuesday, police released photographs of a man seen near the car just before the officer reported it missing.
Those photos show a bearded man in a heavy red coat hanging open over black shirt and a pair of unfortunate pants. Although police scanner chatter originally mentioned an "Elmer Fudd" hat, his furry headgear is more of a leather-and-sheepskin aviator hat.
The Missoula Police Department is asking that anyone who knows the man to Police Detective J.C. Denton at 552-6292, or Missoula Crime Stoppers at 721-4444.
