Well hi, As of today, two jobs have been filled. Robert (an encampment member) is officially the breakfast shift person. He's always there, he's always willing, he's trustworthy and he's amazing. BUT he probably won't be there forever. (He was planning to move on to Coeur d'Alene eventually.) So the spot might come vacant again if anyone's interested. Carson has the financial information and is reviewing my figures so a second set of eyes will see that the math is accurate. There is (approximately) a $16 discrepancy and my brain can't figure it out. Other than that, the financial aspect of things is pretty mellow. We had around $55.00 at last balance on 28 October. I suspect that I lost or forgot to get a receipt from someone in the last 3 days or so and that will be where the shortage occurred. As for the rumored panic over the wepay.com account...relax. It's really us. Yes I did it. No I didn't ask anyone if I could. We've been talking about it for 2 weeks but never got around to doing it. I'm not a big fan of all talk/no action and realized I was waiting for "someone" to take care of it. So...yesterday *I* was "someone. It should be up and running by Wednesday or so. The link is www.wepay.com/donate/occupymissoula. Having a wepay.com account is much safer than collecting cash on site and makes people a bit more comfortable about donating as well. As soon as the financial team is up and running I'll turn all the info and etc over to them so that I'm not involved. Lastly, the Info Booth is cleaned out and ready for anyone who wishes to staff it and the rest of the jobs on the list are available for anyone who wants them. Lastly...The porta-johns will be gone in about 10 days if we don't come up with almost $500 to pay for them. The first three were anonymously donated. The other two were paid for out of petty cash. It's my suggestion that we keep four, 3 "regular" and 1 wheel-chair accessible and let the 5th one go. That will save about $90. Cheers.

Kathlene left tonight. So good some of these things are filled. How many good people are going to walk from this project. I am broken hearted tonight.

Piffle
Don't be broken hearted B. I'm happier as a behind the scenes person sometimes. The camp is an intense, up front, in person experience and I couldn't hang as well as I'd hoped. (I only made it 22 of 24 days) Between you and me, there's plenty that could do a better job than I did. I'm not leaving the movement. I'm just not going to spend 18 hours a day there anymore. My pharmaceuticals don't work well as it is. LOL

are you up late partying tonite kathleen? Yep. Partying like it's New Year's Eve. Nova's sound asleep and snoring though. She's a dog with a distinct 9:30 p.m. bedtime. Me, I'm doing shots and dancing on tables. Okay...okay...I'm drinking tea and writing an essay on marginalization. But the other sounded more exciting. Mark, of course, is working security at the camp. On his 5th hour now. (crazy man)
