Ok this is also in the interest of better communication . This is a development topic for study , commenting, further research. Will also be included in the Teach-in next week online ( see occupymissoula.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotonewpost&board=dtw&thread=159)My question about argument is: How can we share disagreement while preserving integrity for ourselves and respect for others?Or maybe my question is: How can we maintain a healthy atmosphere for constructive disagreements? Is there another "How can we..." question that frames this problem better? Controversy en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ControversyArgument en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ArgumentDebate en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DebateFallacies en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallaciesOk so this is to chew on , for anyone at all, but also for the Teach-in to occur next week. I am looking for tools to aid us in this current problem because it is not going away without some serious creativity. Certain people might freak out and go away when they cant emotionally tolerate the frustration, and that is understandable. but this is a societal issue that follows us everywhere, so we might as well see if this social experiment called Occupy Missoula can serve as a testing ground for some new theories ( or maybe theories new to us) and help us develop new practices.
