Hopefully this is the right place for such a request, but here goes. I'm not sure who designed the OM logos and banners and such, but is there anyone better at Illustrator than me who can create a logo for the new OccupiedMedia youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/OccupiedMedia)? My initial thoughts were to just use the existing logos, but maybe replace the fist with something media related, but I definitely open for other ideas. Anyone have any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, etc? Thanks!

Thanks Jim! I don't really have any specific ideas for a potential logo other than what I mentioned above, so I'm open to ideas or suggestions from anyone. I'd like to get some feedback from others before any decision is made. Hopefully as folks start to use the forum some ideas will roll in.

Jim, just so we can get something onto the channel, could you create a logo and banner just like the OccupyMissoula ones? Though I'm thinking replace the fist with something like a strip of film, TV camera silhouette, or something along the same idea trajectory. It can always be changed as we get more feedback as well. Thanks a ton!

I dig it!! I've put it up on the OccupiedMedia youtube channel. Kind of experimenting with it as the background, so check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks Jim!!!

Looks great Paul! I think the background is fine. Not sure what tools that YouTube channels give you for working with backgrounds, but we might be abot to customize something a little better up, instead of just tiling the banner-sized logo.

Dig the square logo too! Perfect for the channel profile image. Yeah, I was trying to think of something else for the background, too. It's pretty limited what one can do for it; the image file has to be 256kb or less, and can only be tiled or centered at the top. From what I can tell, the central opaque section is about 960 pixels wide by about 1500 pixels tall, so if something could be designed to fit around that it would probably look better.

No rush on the above though, so whenever you have some free time to kill.

I've got a template for YouTube channel backgrounds. I can whip up one with the logo split half on one side half on the other, vertically. Might look good. I'll post one up later tonight (sleep is overrated)...

I did a first stab at a background. I placed in on the OccupyMIssoula channel to see how it looks, and put the file on the Resources page. Let me know what you think. We can take it off of the OM YT channel when/if you place it on OccupiedMedia

Sorry I haven't checked this in a while, but I think that background looks good! I had this problem before as well, but when I try to post the image to the background of the channel, the upload seems to go fine, the image appears on the background, but when I click Save Changes I get an error message saying "Please upload a valid background image." Has anyone had this issue or know how to solve it?

Weird, because I uploaded the ex t same image and applied it to our youtube channel to see how it looks. It's still there. If you can't get it to work, I can email you the original file.
