There are manymanymany things we can say about empowerment, but for now i am sharing with you a tool that is used by some motivational speakers that I came across about empowerment. I dont condemn or condone any of the views shared here, but find some of this very useful! Enjoy

I like the way these different cycles are framed BUT would argue "democratic polities" are unable to "guide open markets". The evidence is apparent in the failure of our current social democratic system and those attempts to tame markets throughout recent history. The rise of neoliberalism is exactly that failure.
On the theoretical level I think we can look at what some call the Transactional contamination of democracy. Competitive markets require , as Adam Smith put it, that "each individual intends only his own gain". It becomes rational to game the system, not reaspecting the will of the majority, subverting democracy. At the level of values it is the reduction of all fines to "prices" ( I paid the price) and all obligations to "tax burdens".
Anyway,it is complicated but I think that part of the cycle needs to be explored more.
